LetterLoot ("we", "us", "our") is a daily word puzzle game available on the web and as a native iOS app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be transparent about what we do.
If you play as a guest: We do not collect any personal information. Your scores, settings, and game progress are stored only on your device using local storage. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
If you create an account: We collect the following:
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, behavioral tracking, or profiling. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties.
We use the following service providers to operate the app. They process data only on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:
LetterLoot contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party tracking. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not share data with data brokers. We do not link your data to other apps or services.
LetterLoot is a general-audience word puzzle and is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at hello@letterloot.net and we will delete the account promptly.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app:
This removes your account, your gameplay records, and your leaderboard entries. Word reports you have submitted are anonymized (your name is replaced with "[deleted]") so we can continue to evaluate dictionary issues without keeping your identity.
If for any reason you cannot delete in-app, email hello@letterloot.net and we will process the deletion within 30 days.
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the data is removed (or anonymized, in the case of word reports) immediately. Backups containing the data are rotated out within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@letterloot.net from the email address associated with your account.
We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never stored or visible to us. We follow standard practices to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of LetterLoot after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
